Packet Power Branch Circuit Monitoring

The ideal way to add monitoring to any panel from a single power distribution panel to a four-panel RPP or PDU

Designed to minimize installation time, the system uses a flexible CT harness that fits in even the tightest spaces, comes full configured, and avoids the need to run data communications wiring. Use the monitoring data to allocate energy costs, avoid unplanned outages, identify underutilized power, and balance load across phases.

Measures full power (V, A, Ah, VA, W, Wh, PF and Hz) or current only (A, Ah) on single- and three-phase circuits up to 277V input. Supports 30 - 192 branch circuit split-core CTs of 15-50 amps. Immediately after powering up, the monitor communicates wireless with a gateway. Access data from existing monitoring applications via SNMP, Modbus, EtherNet/IP, BACnet/IP, or MTConnect or Packet Power's EMX Energy Portal software. EMX generates automatic reports including power usage per circuit. In addition it is possible to set thresholds to receive alerts in the event of critical power conditions occuring.

Installation to online in minutes:

  1. Mount the monitoring unit - can be wall-mounted, attached to the in room PDU, or installed under the floor
  2. Place the pre-wired CT harness assembly next to the panels and snap the current transformers over the existing conductors; the harnesses connect to the monitoring unit using the two interface cables
  3. Connect the voltage sensing leads to existing conductors using the insulation displacement connectors
  4. Once powered, the monitoring unit automatically connects to the Gateway and data will be available
