Consolidated power and environmental monitoring

Power metering and environmental monitoring for enhanced capacity management and more power and cooling efficiency in the data centre

As data centre and DC facility managers continuously strive to increase energy and resource efficiency in server rooms and data centres, the environmental monitoring and metering of power is becoming increasingly important. Only on the basis of parameters can sound conclusions be made about the PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness) and energy, thermal and even safety flaws identified and remedied. Moreover, the parameters determined via PDUs (Power Distribution Units) as well as via various sensors (e.g. for temperature, humidity, airflow/airflow velocity, air pressure, etc.) make it possible to optimally manage power and cooling load at unit, PDU, rack, cabinet rows, room and data centre level.
