The LiftPod transforms the future of working at height

World Premiere: The first quick-fold, low-level access lift designed for safe, efficient work at height in data centres

Working on overhead infrastructure in data centres has traditionally been a challenging, time-consuming, and high-risk task. Until recently, technicians relied primarily on ladders for installations, maintenance, and upgrades above server racks—posing significant risks of falls, injuries, and equipment damage.

Data centre optimisation specialist Daxten previously addressed these challenges with its manually operated personnel lifters, the PecoDC and EcoDC, which prioritise safety and ergonomic operation. Now, the latest innovation—the LiftPod from leading manufacturer JLG—takes this concept even further.

Compact, foldable, and highly mobile, the LiftPod safely elevates data centre professionals to working heights of up to 3.5 metres, ensuring secure, efficient, and comfortable access to overhead installations. Its foldable lift platform and basket make it exceptionally easy to transport, store, and deploy, even in narrow aisles or confined spaces. When folded, the LiftPod measures just 60 cm long and 77 cm wide, minimising storage requirements and simplifying handling between uses.

Setup is fast and intuitive: once positioned, the LiftPod locks securely in place and unfolds within seconds. Operators can then step onto the platform and raise themselves effortlessly using a manual handle, reaching the required height—either 3.2 or 3.5 metres, depending on the model—without the need for electricity or batteries.

Because it operates completely manually, the LiftPod is energy-independent, maintenance-free, and environmentally friendly—supporting continuous 24/7 use without charging downtime or power cables. Its robust, low-maintenance design ensures longevity and extremely low operating costs, making it a smart investment for safety and efficiency.

When retracted to a height of only 1.6 metres, the LiftPod requires minimal floor space and can be conveniently stored anywhere in the data centre until its next use.
