LARA is the first manufacturer-independent KVM via IP system for servers and KVM switching systems. With the help of the LARA, extend your existing KVM switch system to allow access over TCP/IP, and for its administrators to remotely manage any attached servers using only a web browser. LARA allows complete remote administration of your server banks, including hard RESETS and power Off/On. LARA does not require any software to be installed on any target server.
LARA allows you to remotely control, configure and manage your servers regardless of where you are located. Access is possible via TCP/IP, dial-up or ISDN. It is possible to use LARA on individual servers or on a KVM switch to allow KVM over TCP/IP access to a bank of servers. A keyboard, monitor and mouse can also be connected to the LARA to allow local access, if desired.
The comprehensive security systems of the LARA will fulfill the most stringent of security requirements. LARA encodes each data packet using standardized algorithms. LARA supports the use of signed certificated to aid in the prevention of attack from malicious sources. An intelligent management system permits up to 255 individual user profiles which are configurable to allow varying levels of access. All logins and activity are irreversibly logged.
LARA does not require additional configuration on the target server nor on the client computer. LARA works with all PS/2-Mice and accepts all well-known VESA screen modes resolution up to 1280 x 1024 pixels. LARA works independently of the operating system of the server and is invisible to all target systems. On the client side, only a java-enabled web browser is necessary.
